The 16th WWRM, taking place October 27-30, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will bring together academics, researchers, conservation scientists, consultants, federal and state officials, NGO representatives, and industry professionals to share and engage on the latest science addressing interactions between energy development and wildlife and developing solutions to avoid, minimize, and offset impacts. WWRM attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the current state-of-the-science and build cross-sector relationships through an action-packed agenda including panel and poster presentations, workshops, fieldtrips, and networking activities. In-person and virtual attendance pricing varies by sector and attendance type.

The REWI Research Meeting Scholarship Program provides eligible individuals with the unique opportunity to participate in REWI’s annual Research Meetings for a significantly discounted rate. Scholarships are available for in-person or virtual attendance (with opportunities for in-person attendance limited). REWI is committed to fostering the next generation of leaders and increasing access to our events, and this program made possible with support from Research Meeting sponsors aims to foster valuable connections and knowledge-sharing.
Scholarship-eligible candidates include:
- Higher education students and early-career professionals interested in renewable energy and wildlife conservation.
- Members of underrepresented groups in energy and wildlife conservation.
- Individuals employed in relevant fields lacking institutional resources/funding.*
*Intended to support individuals from small businesses/organizations that would otherwise be unable to fund attendance.
