Spoor AS – Artificial Ornithologist

Spoor’s Artificial Ornithologist is a SaaS data platform that enables continuous monitoring of wildlife for offshore wind farms, pre- and post-construction. This software leverages existing infrastructure and computer vision to provide valuable environmental insights with higher accuracy, resulting in informed decision-making, planning, and operations.

Explanation of Technology Readiness Level (TRL)

Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) are assigned by the vendor or manufacturer to describe the stage of development, testing, and commercial availability of each technology on a scale from 1 to 9.

  • TRL 1: Basic Research
  • TRL 2: Applied Research
  • TRL 3: Critical Function or Proof of Concept Established
  • TRL 4: Lab Testing/Validation of Alpha Prototype Component/Process
  • TRL 5: Laboratory Testing of Integrated/Semi-Integrated System
  • TRL 6: Prototype System Verified
  • TRL 7: Integrated Pilot System Demonstrated
  • TRL 8: System Incorporated in Commercial Design
  • TRL 9: System Proven and Ready for Full Commercial Deployment
