Authored by AWWI’s Director of Research and 12 other experts, an Ecological Society of America publication Impacts to Wildlife of Wind Energy Siting and Operation in the U.S. in Issues in Ecology provides a peer-reviewed synthesis of current, accurate, and properly contextualized information about the benefits of wind energy, adverse wind-wildlife impacts, efforts to find solutions, and recommended focus for future research. The publication distills the results of 25 years of focused research resulting from collaboration among the wind energy industry, state and federal agencies, conservation and science groups, and academia. This resource can help stakeholders make informed decisions by providing a robust state-of-the-science and recommendations for future research.
