The Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute (REWI) is excited to share the Proceedings of the 15th biennial Wind Wildlife Research Meeting (WWRM) which took place November 12-15, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas. The 15th WWRM drew over 400 in-person and virtual attendees to share and engage in the latest science addressing the risk of wind energy to wildlife and developing solutions to avoid, minimize, and offset impacts.
These proceedings reflect the core sessions of the meeting held November 13-14, which featured presentations and discussions among stakeholders including scientists, state and federal agencies, wind energy developers, and conservation organizations. The meeting covered current research pertaining to wind energy-related wildlife impacts from collision and displacement.

About the WWRM
The biennial Wind Wildlife Research Meeting (WWRM) provides an internationally recognized forum for attendees to share and engage in the latest science addressing the risk of wind energy to wildlife and developing solutions to avoid, minimize, and offset impacts. The meeting also brings together thought leaders to discuss priority topics and themes in the wind-wildlife arena. Academics, researchers, conservation scientists, consultants, federal and state officials, NGO representatives, and industry professionals come together every other year for this unique opportunity.
The meeting is organized and presented by REWI, with input provided by a multi-stakeholder planning committee. In-person and virtual attendance is open to all who are interested in wind-wildlife issues.
