The Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute (REWI), together with the staff and Board, are launching a search for a new Executive Director following Abby Arnold’s planned retirement from the position at the end of 2024.
Abby has been a vital part of REWI since its founding as the American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) and has served as Executive Director for 14 years. Under Abby’s leadership REWI established itself as a leading source of trusted science developed through essential collaboration, generating real-world impacts and advancing responsible deployment of wind and solar energy that protects wildlife and ecosystems. With Abby’s departure, REWI is looking for an Executive Director to build off this stable foundation and advance the robust research program and proven collaborative framework to continue vital work at the intersection of the renewable energy industry, science/conservation communities, and public agencies.
Abby plans to officially step down at the end of the year. This month, REWI is launching a search for an Executive Director and has retained CEA Consulting to assist with the search. REWI is seeking a mission-focused, collaborative, and innovative Executive Director to inspire, motivate, and support staff and stakeholders to tackle the intersection between the rapid build-out and operations of renewable energy development and the conservation of wildlife and related natural resources. The Executive Director will lead REWI to its next level of financial, programmatic, and organizational success.
