Inaugural Collegiate Research Showcase Now Accepting Applications!

Submission Deadline: 11:59 PM PT, May 29, 2026

While the Solar Wildlife & Ecosystems Research Meeting (SWERM) takes its biennial pause, we are turning the spotlight on the next generation of researchers. This year, we’re excited to launch a Collegiate Research Showcase, designed in a fun, fast-paced, engaging, and focused research presentation format.

We’re inviting graduate and Ph.D. students conducting preliminary research at the intersection of solar energy, wildlife interactions, and ecosystems to apply to be featured presenters. This is your chance to showcase your work to industry leaders, NGO partners, state and federal agencies, and the greater research community.

Why Participate?

  • Professional Exposure: Present to leaders from REWI’s network.
  • Expert Feedback: Receive direct feedback from active researchers and practitioners.
  • Grand Prize: The top presenter(s) will receive complimentary registration, a featured speaking slot, and a travel stipend to the 2027 SWERM.
